SEO Tune-ups
Webflow technical SEO audit and remediation on already-live sites — schema markup, canonical URLs, redirect chains, sitemap discipline, hreflang, internal linking. Practical fixes that move rankings on the pages you've already published, not vague audits with three-page slide decks. This is post-launch tune-up work, not new-build SEO architecture (that's our SEO Friendly Web Design Company service).

What a Webflow SEO Tune-Up Actually Touches
Most live Webflow sites have the same five technical SEO issues. Missing or wrong schema. Inconsistent canonicals on filtered or paginated pages. Redirect chains from a migration nobody finished. Internal links that all point to the homepage. Sitemap and robots.txt that disagree with Search Console. We don't write you a report — we ship the fixes against your live CMS, then verify each one in Search Console and on real SERPs.
- 01
Schema markup audit and rebuild — Article, Organization, FAQ, BreadcrumbList, Product
- 02
Canonical and indexability audit — fixing self-referencing, paginated, and filtered URL issues
- 03
Redirect map verification — 301 chain compression, dead 404s mapped to live equivalents
- 04
Sitemap and robots.txt verification against actual Search Console coverage report
- 05
Internal linking pass surfacing high-intent pages from existing high-authority content
- 06
On-page optimization for a defined set of priority pages and target keywords

How a Webflow Technical SEO Audit Becomes Actual Rankings
Audit-and-fix work fails when the audit and the fixing live in different teams — consultant ships a 60-page PDF, dev team is busy with feature work, six months later nothing's been implemented. We do both, on the same engagement, against your live Webflow CMS. Three operating choices turn technical SEO findings into measurable ranking recovery within 60–90 days.
Search Console + Ahrefs / Semrush + crawl data, not assumptions
We pull 90 days of GSC coverage, performance, and core-web-vitals reports, cross-reference with a Screaming Frog crawl of your live site, and overlay backlink data from Ahrefs or Semrush. Real bottleneck for most Webflow sites: 15–30% of pages are submitted but not indexed (often because of canonical or noindex misconfigurations from a CMS template), and 8–12% of indexed pages have no internal links pointing to them. We surface the actual issue, not the imagined one.
Fix in CMS template, not on individual items
If 200 blog posts are missing Article schema, we don't patch 200 items. We fix the template binding once — wire the structured-data embed in the Webflow post template against `name`, `datePublished`, `author->name`, `image` — and all 200 items get correct schema on the next CDN flush. This is the single biggest leverage point on inherited Webflow sites: most agencies hand-edit items because they don't understand template-level fixes are even possible. We work at the template layer first, item layer only where genuinely needed.
Verify in production, not in audit-tools
Every fix gets re-tested against Google's Rich Results Test, the URL Inspection tool in Search Console, and a real SERP fetch 7 days post-deploy. "The audit tool says it's valid" doesn't mean Google indexed it. We've seen schema validate cleanly in lab tools and still not surface in SERPs because of a canonical conflict the audit tool didn't flag. Production verification catches that; audit-only doesn't.

Where Webflow Technical SEO Quietly Costs Rankings
Three failure modes show up on almost every live Webflow site we tune up. Each is platform-specific — the way Webflow's CMS handles canonicals, redirects, and sitemap generation — fixable inside a 2–4 week engagement, and each carries a documented impact on ranking visibility, not vague "SEO health" hand-waving.
The migration redirect that never happened
Site moved from a legacy Wix or WordPress build to Webflow 14 months ago. Top-ranking blog post URL changed from `/blog/post-title-here` to `/posts/post-title-here`. No 301 was set. The post still exists; Google just sees 404s on the URL it had indexed. Result: that post lost the 1,200 monthly visits it used to send. Multiply by 30–50 posts and you've quietly lost 30–60K annual organic sessions. We rebuild the redirect map from a Wayback crawl + Search Console URL history and ship it as Webflow 301s in a single deploy.
The canonical that points everywhere except the right URL
Webflow CMS templates default canonical to the page URL. If a developer customized the template binding and accidentally pointed canonical at a `?slug` query variant or the parent collection page, every CMS-driven page tells Google "don't rank me, rank that other URL." Pages get deindexed. Average impact when this hits a blog template: 40–70% of posts drop from index over 60 days. Fix is one binding change; recovery takes 8–12 weeks of re-indexing — but it's recoverable.
The orphan-page graveyard
You publish a great pillar post. Six months later it's getting 90% of its expected traffic. Crawl shows it has 0 inbound internal links from the rest of the site. Google found it once via the sitemap, indexed it, and now it ranks for nothing because no internal authority flows to it. Average Webflow site we audit has 15–30 orphan pages out of 200 indexed — pure-effort wins for the next quarter. We rebuild internal linking against query-intent and content topical clusters, not just "add 3 links per post."

When Webflow SEO Tune-Ups Help — and When They Don't
Webflow SEO tune-ups are the right call when your site has been live long enough to have indexed pages, you've got Search Console set up with at least 90 days of data, and the bottleneck is technical execution — not strategy or new content. We tune what's already shipping; we don't replace your SEO strategist or your content team.
This is fundamentally different from baking SEO into a new site build. Our SEO Friendly Web Design Company service (under web-design) is for new builds where the site architecture, semantic HTML, schema layer, and Core Web Vitals are designed in from day one with an 8-week minimum. SEO Tune-Ups is for live sites with existing rankings and traffic — we audit, fix, and verify against real Search Console data, no redesign involved.
- Your site has Search Console verified with 90+ days of data. Without this we're guessing. The whole engagement is built around real GSC data plus a Screaming Frog crawl, not assumptions.
- You have at least some pages ranking already. If your site has zero indexed pages or zero impressions, the bottleneck is content + authority, not technical fixes. Different problem.
- You can deploy CMS template changes. Some fixes (schema bindings, canonical templates, sitemap rules) ship at the template layer and require Designer access. We can run the engagement with Editor-only access too, but the fix surface is smaller.
- You don't need ongoing SEO consulting. This is a defined-scope tune-up engagement, not a retainer. After we ship, you'll have a clean technical baseline and a documented tracking setup. Ongoing optimization is a different service.
What a Webflow SEO tune-up moves: pages-indexed-vs-submitted ratio (typical: 70% → 95%+), schema rich-result eligibility (typical: 30% of pages → 90%+), redirect-chain hops (typical: 4–6 → 1), orphan-page count (typical: 20 → 0–3), and within 60–90 days, ranking visibility on the pages whose technical issues were blocking them.
What it doesn't move: rankings for pages whose content is genuinely thin or off-topic for the target query, authority gaps that need real backlink work, or competitive head terms where the SERP is dominated by sites with 10× your domain authority. Technical SEO removes blockers; it doesn't replace content quality or backlink work.
When this isn't the right fit: if you're building a new site (start with our SEO web design service), if you don't have Search Console set up with 90 days of data (set it up first, come back in a quarter), or if your underlying content strategy is the actual issue — a tune-up makes existing pages discoverable, but it can't make weak content rank against strong competitors.
