Weebly is closing. Move your site before access ends.
Weebly is shutting down in 67 countries: sites there went offline on 27 September 2026, and account access ends on 26 December 2026. We rebuild your site in Astro or Next.js with Sanity or Payload, from your Weebly archive, with your pages, posts and URLs kept.
Yegparian PLLC (opens in a new tab)Where Weebly sites stand now
The closure applies to 67 countries. The US, the UK, Canada and Australia are not on the list, but many owners there are planning a move too.
Your site is already offline
In the affected countries, published Weebly sites were taken down on 27 September 2026. Visitors and search engines now find nothing at your address.
Your account closes on 26 December
Until then you can still log in and download your site archive. After that date the editor, and everything in it, is out of reach.
Your domain needs a new home
The domain is separate from the website builder. It can point to a new site, but transfers and contact changes can lock it for weeks, so start early.
You are outside the 67 countries
Your site still works, but it runs on a builder that is closing elsewhere. Moving on your own schedule beats moving on someone else’s.
You want more than a rebuild in another builder
Another builder brings the same limits back. A site you own, with a proper editor, can move host without starting over.
What happens to your Weebly features
Pick what your site uses today. Each feature becomes part of the new site, moves to a service you choose, or turns out not to be needed.
- Pages and contentPages in Sanity or PayloadWe rebuild every page from your Weebly archive, with text, images and layout carried over and edited in a proper CMS.
- Weebly blogPosts in Sanity or PayloadEach post moves with its date, categories and images, and keeps its address or gets a redirect.
- Contact formsA form built into the siteValidated on the server, filtered for spam and sent to your inbox, CRM or Slack.
- Weebly or Square storeCommerce, scoped separatelyProducts move to Shopify or another commerce platform behind the same front end. We scope this per project.
- Image galleriesGalleries as componentsGalleries and slideshows are rebuilt as components, with images resized and served in modern formats.
- Members areaAccounts in your own appLogins and gated pages run in Next.js with the auth provider you choose. We scope this per project.
- SEO settingsSEO fields in the CMSPage titles, descriptions and social images move with each page, and sitemaps are generated with every build.
- Embedded apps and codeReplaced one by oneMaps, booking widgets and embeds are matched to a standalone service or rebuilt as a component.
What changes when you leave Weebly
Astro and Next.js decide how pages are built. Sanity and Payload are where your team edits. We recommend a pair after the audit.

How we move a Weebly site
Whether your site is still online or already unpublished, the first step is the same: secure the archive while the account is open.
Secure the archive
Secure the archive
You download the site archive from Weebly (Settings, General, Archive), or give us temporary access and we do it. If the site is still live, we crawl it too.
Audit
Audit
We list every page, post, form and embed, and pull your old URLs from the archive and Search Console, so nothing is lost by accident.
Content model

Pages and posts become a clean schema in Sanity or Payload, shaped around how you actually edit.
Front end

We rebuild the design in Astro or Next.js: the same look, or a refresh if one is due.
Redirects and launch
Redirects and launch
Every old URL keeps its address or gets a permanent redirect. Your domain is pointed at the new site, and email keeps working.

Questions about leaving Weebly
No. Weebly is closing in 67 countries. The US, the UK, Canada and Australia are not on the list, and sites there still work. If you are unsure, check whether your country is on Weebly’s list.
Usually, yes. In the affected countries you can log in until 26 December 2026 and download the site archive, which holds your pages and images. We rebuild the site from it, and from web archives such as the Wayback Machine if anything is missing.
The domain is separate from the website. It can stay where it is and point to the new site, or move to a registrar you choose. Changing the owner details or transferring can lock a domain for a while, so we plan this early.
If the site has been offline, some ranking may already have slipped. Bringing every page back at the same address, or with a permanent redirect, gives search engines the quickest way to restore it.
Yes. We rebuild it from the archive and any screenshots or copies you have. If the design is due a refresh, this is a good moment for it.
You can, and the audit will say if a builder fits you. With your own code and CMS the site can move host without a rebuild, so a closure like this one never forces you to start over again.
Securing the archive comes first and takes little time. After the audit you get a fixed scope and timeline, and we can put a simple holding page on your domain in the meantime.
